Roadshow to promote Southport Central, Lexis Suites in Sibu

KUCHING: Borneo Real Estate is currently on a month long roadshow in line with the launch of Southport Central, Australia this weekend in Sibu on July 7 and 8 at the RH Hotel.

With The Gold Coast on the rebound from the global financial crisis, there is no better time to invest, said Dynamic Joy’s chief executive officer, Rodney Prestia, with several bargains available with prices at levels below 2008.

“Financial institutions are getting very aggressive, wanting to recoup their funds and recoup them quickly,” he said.

“The only way to do that is to price them at a point whereby they can really move volume.

“It’s the first time in history that they have decided to do this in Asia and it’s a great opportunity for Borneo investors, to get in and snap up a bargain.”

Prestia revealed that Southport in Australia’s Gold Coast will be the epicentre of Gold Coast development activity over the next decade, driven by the Commonwealth Games and almost A$7 billion of development activity, according to Australian economists.

Market research conducted by leading Real Estate Agency Colliers International’s, showed the transformation of Southport would be more pronounced than other regions of the city as the region readies for the Commonwealth Games to be staged in 2018.

Although private construction and development activity has slowed, the Colliers International report pointed to a massive injection of public infrastructure spending to the tune of more than A$5.2 billion.

“Southport arguably has the most to gain out of the next decade than other parts of the city,” said Prestia.

“The city’s Central Business District is set for a massive transformation, underpinned by the Commonwealth Games that will set the suburb on the right course for many years to come.” Prestia said these primary projects would provide the catalyst for additional infrastructure projects including road upgrades.

Southport will also be home to the games village for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which Prestia said would give the area yet another shot in the arm.

“The games village is proposed for a site next to the new hospital and will provide accommodation for the athletes, offices, medical, retail and sporting facilities.

“Other projects related to the infrastructure to host the Games will come on stream over the next few years and will further add to the development pipeline in Southport.”

Borneo Real Estate’s Aubrey Chan agreed with Prestia, stating, “I have never seen such an quality product in Australia so incredibly priced and with Air Asia and Scoot both flying direct to the gold coast now you can use it as a holiday home or enjoy sensational rental yields.”

Thus, Dynamic Joy and Borneo Real Estate will be at RH Hotel in Sibu this weekend to showcase this project from 10:30am to 7pm, with a free seminar at 4pm on those two days.

During this roadshow, Borneo Real Estate will also promote The Lexis Suites @ Penang developed by the Kuala Lumpur Metro Group, which specialises in high end resort home with remarkable track record.

The Lexis Suites @ Penang is a designated 5 stars hotel which features 224 luxury suites with full facilities.

The uniqueness of the project is that every unit is equipped with its own private swimming pool and sauna room and thereby setting a new record in Malaysia.

The sale price ranges from RM770,000 to RM945,000. Price is inclusive of all furniture, fittings and renovation.

The project is designed by international renowned architect from London, Broadway Malyan and managed by reputable hotel operator The Lexis Hotel Group.

The project is scheduled for completion by October 2014.

The roadshow will then move on to Bintulu and Miri the subsequent weekends after that, giving east Malaysians the change to grab Australian property at massive reductions.
