Six car theft suspects arrested

JOHOR BAHARU: The police have arrested six men in Taman Molek and Taman Johor Jaya for allegedly stealing 18 vehicles in Shah Alam, Selangor and here.
Johor deputy police chief Datuk Ismail Yatim said the men aged between 22 and 43, who were picked up on June 18, were believed to be behind seven car thefts in Shah Alam and 11 more in Johor Baharu Selatan.
He said the police seized four stolen cars and car-breaking tools from them.
Three of them have criminal records, including rape and drug cases, he told reporters here yesterday.
Meanwhile, he said the police hauled up four men, including a Bangladeshi for allegedly being involved in a break-in at a factory in Pasir Gudang at 8.17am on June 4.
The four aged between 25 and 44 were rounded up in Negeri Sembilan, Taman Johor Jaya and here recently, he said, adding that the police recovered stolen items, including two lorry clutches, iron rods and rubber coils from them.
One of the suspect have 13 criminal records, including thefts, robberies, drug cases and trespassing. — Bernama
