KUALA LUMPUR: Three Form Six students of a secondary school in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan were injured after they were said to have been assaulted by a group of men in the school compound at 10.45pm Friday night.

The father of one of the victims, ASP Zulkarnain Ismail, claimed that his son was assaulted by three men in their 20’s after he tried to help his friend who was earlier assaulted in front of the school office.

“I was told by my son (Muhammad Najib) the incident occurred after a Form Three student was not happy after being told not to make noise by one of the victims who was then on duty as a facilitator for a programme organised by the school.

“The (Form Three) student then contacted his elder brother who later came to the school with two others before assaulting the Form Six student,” he said.

Zulkarnain said his son and another friend who tried to help Mohd Salman Mohd Ismail, 18, suffered bruises and swellings.

Meanwhile, Mohd Salman told reporters that during the incident, he was observing an activity involving a group of Form Three students before one of the three suspects approached him and punched him repeatedly.

Recalling the incident, he said a teacher tried to rescue him but the three men continued to assault him.

All the victims lodged police reports at the Nilai Police Station and were treated as outpatients at the Hospital Tuanku Jaafar, Seremban.

Nilai OCPD, Supt Mohd Yusoff Awang confirmed receiving the reports on the incident. — Bernama
