Prosecution granted more time in sodomy case

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN:  The prosecution yesterday requested additional time to consider the charges to be levied against a 52-year-old man who currently faces a charge of committing sodomy, Borneo Bulletin reported.

The court fixed September 6, 2012 for further mention of the case and allowed the extension of the defendant’s bail. The defendant was initially arrested by the Women and Children Abuse Investigation Unit and produced before the Bandar magistrate’s court over allegations of sodomising two boys aged 13 and 12 in Kuala Belait on June 3, 2012.

Prosecuting Officer, Shamshuddin Hj Kamaluddin prosecuted the case.
