MIRI: Some 50 Wehaya Sdn Bhd staff took part in the company’s charity car wash yesterday.
It was part of Wehaya’s Health Safety Security Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) Week.
General manager (operations) Wat Unchard said the event aimed to raise funds for the Association of Parents with Special Children (Pibakis) Miri.
“This is part of our annual HSSEQ Week, where the objective is to create awareness on the importance and impact of leading a healthy lifestyle.
“This campaign is also to fulfil the Acts and Regulations as well as in-house HSSE Plan requirement for Wehaya Sdn Bhd,” he said.
The campaign, he said, also aimed to encourage staff and clients to get involved in HSSE-related activities to promote and share information related to health and well-being.
The charity car wash was held in collaboration with Ah Tao’s Car Wash Centre at Boulevard Commercial Centre. It ran from 9am to 4pm and targeted some 250 cars.
