Cash Sweep FC triumphs at MPP League

KUCHING: Cash Sweep FC emerged champion of the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) League when they defeated ARMOR FC 4-2 in the fi nal held at Padawan Mini Stadium yesterday.
The highly rated Cash Sweep FC fielded two former state players, Morris Jagan and A Saranvanan as their twin strikeforce with devastating effect against the more physically superior soldiers of ARMOR FC.
Muhd Hadera Bakrifired Cash Sweep into the lead in the 10th minute and he found the net again seven minutes later.
Teammate Paul Sambang made it 3-0 just before the breather.
ARMOR FC reduced the defi cit in the 60th minute through Mohd Saiful while teammate Shahrul Saperi scored another to signal a fightback.
Cash Sweep’s Paul Sambang found the net again five minutes before fulltime to restore the advantage.
Cash Sweep FC manager Jackson Lim said that he was relieved by the first major title won by his team after six years of trying.
“The victory was through the commitments of my players who are improving and maturing in the league and after this achievement, we have qualifi ed for the Sarawak Footbal l League next year,” commented Lim to The Borneo Post after the match yesterday.
