BINTULU: PSKPP Bintulu emerged champion in the Women’s Maksak Netball Open competition for Bintulu divisional level after defeating ABF Sdn Bhd in the final held yesterday.
The last podium place was taken by MLNG Netball Team with UPMKB in fourth.
A total of 13 teams took part in the competition which was held at the Bintulu Indoor Stadium. The prizes were presented by Bintulu Resident Muhamad Yakup Kari.
In his speech he congratulated all the participants for showing good sportsmanship throughout the competition.
“It is not just about the result but the most important thing is the way you play as a team and showing your true spirit of sportsmanship. All players have shown maturity in their game and I am happy to see the competition successfully organised,” said Yakup.
Yakup hoped talented players can progress to be coaches to train local players to represent Bintulu in future competitions.
