Latheefa’s resignation to be referred to PKR management

SHAH ALAM: The resignation of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Legal Affairs Bureau chief Latheefa Koya as a Petaling Jaya City councillor will be referred to the party management, Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said yesterday.
“This is a party matter because her appointment as a councillor involves the parties (PKR, DAP and PAS) in Pakatan Rakyat,” he told reporters after chairing a meeting of the state executive council, here.
Abdul Khalid responded thus when asked to comment on the resignation of Latheefa as a PJ City councillor on Monday.
Meanwhile, state executive councillor in charge of local councils, Ronnie Liu Tian Khiew, said there had been no official letter from Latheefa on her resignation. — Bernama
