i agreed with u. if the student is being bully at the moment, he/she just have to take their hp from their pocket and contact to any person that can be contacted immediately. this act can saves time and eventually maybe they are safe from being bullied. plus, with the use of it, we can use video camera to record crime scene at school such as students go sell drugs to other students. this will help the police to investigate the case.

when i was in school last time i did not die when I fell sick at school. Just tell the teacher ur sick n they will let u go home if it is true that ur sick. yes, teachers might not be as caring as our own parents but come on…let ur child learn to live the hard way. If ur so protective of ur child, then dont register ur child in a public school. Home school ur child so that u can watch him/her 24/7. if it is just a normal fever, whats the big fuss? its not the end of the world…

Agreed. It is available ages ago, do the necessary if indeed the students are allowed to bring HPs to school. They can always adjust the jamming signals to within the classrooms.

I personally support decision to let student bring handphone to scholl. In my opinion whoever say otherwise is having old man insecurities and phobia toward new technology.

If you scared they cheat in exam then make new law such as off the phone or put in safebox. For god sake, cheating in exam have been there ages ago. It is not an excuse to ban handphone just because it is easier to cheat.
Think of the advantage instead. If there is an emergency the student can use the handphone. Do you all think the school can track each students safely once they are out of classroom? Do you think it is easy to use public phones nowaday?
Embrace the new technology. Do not be so phobia about it. Be open minded. Dont think backward. My two cents.

why prevent ict tecnology ? Many 4WD lost everyday but still the govt didnt ban the use of it. HP..it’s so useful. If our child is bullied in school, do u think teachers want to let the parents know? If a child met with xcident or fell sick, parents care 10 times faster/more than the near by teachers.

Teachers should be banned from politics instead of banning student from using HP

Is a mistake allowed student carry mobile phone in school. School authority should confiscated if found and detain until guardian give a good reason in the form of letter for return. School education comes first rather on outside activities. Most kids are been spoil to this generation as compare previous generation. Willam Ghani is right.

Dulu-dulu we dont even need one. If there was an emergency, parents usually called the school. If there was an emergency at school, our teachers would contact our guardian. That was the reason school keeps our guardian contacts right? If we needed our parents to pick us up earlier or later, there was always a payphone. No IT gadgets that time but we still succeed…..so..whats the point of allowing school children to bring mobile phones to school? so that in the middle of a class the whole learning session can be interrupted by a phone call or sms? dont spoil these younger generation la. They are spoiled enough already…

It is definitely not a good idea. Just wanna point out some crucial idea which has not been mentioned. Nowadays , technologies had been so advance where most of the friends around us owns a smartphone. Iphone, which tends to be the leading devices in the market had became a high demand where every youngster will find their possible way to get it. Just think this way, not every student can afford a smartphone. Thus, if a group of friends of five, four of them owns a smartphone. That 1 student, with no smartphone will feel ashamed, self-esteem decreases or even being humiliated. In fact, these students would ask $ from their parents to get a smartphone which eventually increases the burden of certain family which is working very hard to earn a living.
I personally experienced the usefulness of cellphones in exams even they are prohibited during my school days. I brought my cellphone into the exam hall and with few sms, it really do drag my marks up. Well, at the very least, over the fail borderline. However, it is definitely not a good try. Students nowadays are not afraid of breaking school rules as they are increasingly brilliant in bringing and hiding prohibited items. What more to say, such policy is being introduced and technology is so advance now!

I totally disagree on proposal to allow students bringing handphone to school.
This will bring more trouble and burden for school management. Even at this moment there are plenty of unsolve issues. Why adding more!
If the ministry have no other good ideas and boring do nothing to be brought up, ask them to apply leave.

Perhaps class teachers should be given authority to take care of the phone during school hour and to be kept inside safe box. The phone can be return after school hour or anytime deem fit i.e. emergency or call from parents.

Have a locker for all mobile phones brought in by the students when they are in the class. You can’t stop children from taking their mobile phones to school in case they need to contact parents for transport after school or unforeseen emergency circumstances.

i will 100% agreed with Mr William Ghani that handphone should not be brought to school buy any student . Talking about students to embrace information technology in line with the Education Ministry’s move to implement the virtual teaching and learning programme ‘1Bestari’ nationwide , event without bringing handphone to school now , student are already ahead of what the MOE wanted to implement as every student have hnadphone and a computer at home what more to say caber cafe .
They should relook into these issue seriously and handphone to school is not the right solution to what the MOE wanted.
The ministry shoul get the opinion of all teacher union before implementing them as they’re the one who are facing the student daily not the ministry staff or minister .
