MSNS appreciates athletes

MIRI: It was their best moment and their happiness was beyond measure upon receiving the incentives for their success at the recent SUKMA IV in Pahang.
At least their efforts and hard work were appreciated and their achievements recognised.
Twenty-two outstanding SUKMA XV athletes from the northern region received their incentives at simple presentation ceremony held here yesterday.
The incentives totaling RM45,000 from MSNS were presented to the athletes by the Assistant Minister of Communications and Assistant Minister of Sports Datuk Lee Kim Shin.
“This is in appreciation of your achievement. We hope this will also serve as an encouragement and motivation for all of you to strive to do better and earn even greater achievement in the coming SUKMA,” Lee said in his speech before presenting the incentives.
The following were the recipients from the different categories:
Swimming: Tan Chong Heng, Allister Chung Bing Zhe and Jason Jiang Kulay.
Karate-Do: Mohd Khaliq Mohd Seppri, Mohd Suffree Mohd Ali, Dygku Nurdiyana Awangku Tangah, Nur Jannah Tuwah and Ngu Xin Ru.
Atheletics: Kee Siew Lian and Loo Li Jun.
Sepak Takraw (Ladies): Syamimi Ibrahim, Asema Bala and Maureen Pasang.
‘Pencak Silat’: Mohd Affendi Ali and Zaranah Zulkiflee.
Archery: Wong Cheng Teck, Lau Ngie Choon, Cherly Rudang Goh Pei Loke, Allan Ronga Ellia, Lau Jiun Sien, Roniza Syafiqah Ronnie Ong@ Rosli and Chai Oni Yii.
Wong Cheng Teck, when approached by thesundaypost, expressed his gratitude and thanks to the MSN for incentive.
“I am happy and proud as my contribution is recognised. This is not only a source of pride for me and my family, but also for Sarawak,” Wong said.
