Money, ecstasy confiscated from dealers

SAMARINDA: Two alleged drug dealers have been arrested in a raid in the East Kalimantan capital of Samarinda, police said on Monday, Jakarta Post reported.

Chief narcotics detective for Samarinda Comr. Feby DP Hutagalung said police had confiscated 45 ecstasy pills and Rp 4.8 million (US$520) from the suspects in the raid on Sunday.

“We moved after receiving a tip from local people and caught the two suspects red-handed in two separate places,” Feby said as quoted by Antara news agency.

The suspects, identified only as AI, 39, and EY ,33, face a minimum jail term of four years, he said. Police are questioning the suspects to discover the source of the narcotics.
