SIBU: State BN secretary-general Datuk Dr Stephen Rundi believes there is a way to convince some 30 per cent of Malaysians who are still undecided whom to support this coming election to cast their votes for the BN.

He believes a formula which entails synergising all their efforts and strategises their approaches would be able to win over the fence sitters to their side.

A study conducted by University of Malaya’s Centre for Democracy and Elections (Umcedel) has concluded that 49 per cent of voters are expected to vote for BN, 21 per cent for Pakatan Rakyat and 30 per cent still undecided.

The recent study, entitled ‘Political Tendency Towards GE 13’ involving 2,282 respondents, was conducted face-to-face with the Malays, Chinese, Indians and others randomly selected according to the racial composition of the country.

“I believe if we synergise all our efforts and strategise our approaches, including micromanaging them until the end, we should be able to attract higher percentage of fence sitters,” Dr Rundi, who is also Assistant Minister of Public Utilities (Electricity and Telecommunications), told The Borneo Post.

He also stressed the importance of the 1BN spirit, a more forceful and united front to fight Pakatan Rakyat (PR) in the coming general election.
