Rat Triggers Power Outage

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Department of Electrical Services (DES) in a statement announced that the power outage in Kampung Salambigar at 4pm yesterday was caused by a technical breakdown of its “Low Voltage Feeder Pillar Flashover” at Simpang 602, Borneo Bulletin reported.
The statement added that the breakdown was caused by a rat entering the power system. Technicians from DES restored power to the area by yesterday evening. DES apologised to the residents for any inconvenience caused.
