KUCHING: A security officer serving in a secondary school in Pending here was yesterday gang-assaulted by four suspended students.
The young quartet even threatened the 50-year-old during the incident that occurred at about 11am.
The culprits, two girls and two boys, were said to have been trying to gain access into the school and was stopped by the security officer as it was during school hours.
The suspended students are suspected of attempting to reach one of their friends inside the school.
According to a source, a parent of one of the students has gone as far as to warn the assaulted guard to watch his back.
Left with no choice, the security officer turned to the police for his safety.
The case is under investigation.
