SIBU: The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Kuching yesterday met with the grieving father whose son drowned in the man-made lake in Teku-Pasai Road recently.

Three officers, who listened to Lim Kim Sham’s complaints for more than an hour, were here to collect information to investigate into the case.

Fire and Rescue Deputy Superintendent Di Hata Gobel told reporters they decided to meet up with Lim in response to his complaint which was published on July 25.

“We are here to listen to him and to investigate. We arrived yesterday (Wednesday). We went to the crime scene, took photographs and met the officers concerned. We will investigate,” he said.

He said they would submit a report to the director for further action.

Meanwhile, Lim said he was disappointed with the meeting because he expected to get answers from the officers.
