KUCHING: Yung Kong Co Bhd (Yung Kong) for the next three days is having a colour consultant to help consumers handle colour matching as well as colour psychology at the company’s store in Padungan.
Henry Hii, trading director and general manager of Yung Kong said, “We want to help our end users with colour combinations that they can use in their homes as most people just randomly pick a colour that they like without knowing the effects of these colours on the feel of the place.” Due to that, the consultant Eugene Wong from Dulux headquarters in Kuala Lumpur will be in Kuching for the next three days (until Sunday) to assist Yung Kong customers with their needs.
Wong with a background in graphic design, mentioned that, “Colours play a large part in everyday life with well documented effects on a person’s mood and psyche, for example, the colour blue is known to be an appetite suppressant and is not recommended for use in the kitchen or a restaurant.
“Brighter colours such as red, orange and yellow however are good as they not only catch the eye but also help promote appetite.” Yung Kong is having a promotion for its paint product and customers who buy two five litres cans of ICI Dulux paint are entitled to a lucky draw to win some prizes.
Hii also explained that Dulux was currently having a nationwide promotion on the ICI Dulux paints that entitled customers free designer tableware upon purchase of four five litres internal paints from Dulux.
Yung Kong is located at Jalan Padungan and is open every day of the week except for Sundays when it operates until 1pm.
