Body of baby boy found at dumpsite

SANDAKAN: The body of a baby boy was found by several garbage collectors at the Mile 8 waste disposal site, on Friday night.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner (ACP) Rowell Marong said the garbage collectors contacted the police as soon as they found the body.
He added that the the umbilical cord was still attached to the body of the baby when it was discovered packaged in a bag.
The body was sent to the Duchess Of Kent Hospital for an autopsy, and investigations are currently ongoing, he said.
