GBBM Sabah receives award

KOTA KINABALU: United Youth Movement of Malaysia (GBBM) Sabah branch was presented with the SOLID GBBM 2012 Award for its outstanding performance, recently.
The annual award was presented during the 36th GBBM annual general meeting (AGM) held at the Timah Tasoh Lake Resort in Perlis.
Sabah GBBM chairman, Chin Vui Kai, said the award was in recognition of the branch’s excellent performances in terms of improving its image, discipline, teamwork spirit and for successfully holding their AGM.
“We had great competition from other branches such as Selangor, Perak, Penang and Perlis,” said Chin, who received the award on behalf of his association from GBBM national president Low Eng Tack.
He attributed the success of receiving the award to the hard work of his members from all 10 branches, namely Api-Api, Luyang, Sri Gaya, Taman Likas, Kolombong, Sembulan, Nozoob, Donggongon, Ranau and Permai Villa Jaya (Sandakan).
“We worked as one big happy family,” said Chin, adding their close rapport had enabled them to be committed in carrying out their duties to help youths in Sabah, regardless of their backgrounds, religions and races.
Also present at the event were Sabah GBBM deputy chairman, Kenny Lok Chih Liang, vice chairmen Liau Hock Vun, Chin Tze Fui, By Huey Huey, Yii Ming Seng and Nia Vin Bang, assistant secretary Shirly Hoh Chia Lee, the five committee members Arthur Ng Kiat Hsung, Hing Yick Fong, Chen Moi Fong, Nancy Charles Lim and Edmund Lo Wing Ket, and member Lim Chie Wee.
