KUCHING: Sidma College Sarawak held a breaking of fast with special children at a leading hotel here recently.

The annual event for staff was made special this year with the attendance of 10 special children from the Autism Association and Pibakat.

During the event, the children were given Hari Raya gifts of a hamper and ‘duit raya’ each.

There were lucky draws with winners bringing back goodies and hampers.

According to Dynamic Seminars chief executive Mornie Kamri in his welcoming speech, the breaking of fast during the Ramadan month was a blessing for the college.

“It’s donating to the needy in the spirit of giving during this holy month.

“Also, if we have enough funds, we will release partial bonus to all our staff before Hari Raya as an incentive to them, so they will be able to lessen the burden of festive spending,” he said.

Another Ramadan event organised by Sidma College Sarawak is the distribution of ‘bubur lambuk’ to the public at the college premises.
