Seri Manir Enterprise approves investment of RM80,000 to improve selection of ornamental plants

KUALA TERENGGANU: Seri Manir Enterprise, the biggest supplier of flower plants and fruit trees here, has invested about RM80,000 from the start of the year to date, in an effort to increase the collection and sales of ornamental plants at its nursery.

Its manager, Rofie Ali said with the advent of the festive season, that is Hari Raya, ornamental plants in particular, will see an increase in demand among landscapers compared to other months.

“Usually, every month, we invest between RM8,000 to RM10,000 to purchase plants from Thailand.

But this month, we need to invest more to meet demand,” he told Bernama.

Rofie said Seri Manir Enterprise at present has more than 10,000 flowers plants, fruit and ornamental trees worth about RM200,000 at the nursery, to ensure sufficient supply.

He said the plants are priced from a low RM5 to RM1,500, depending on size and type.

“We are always on the look out for new products from Thailand to meet the aspiration of customers,” he added.

Rofie said SME not only sells ornamental plants but also undertakes landscaping work at homes and for government agencies. — Bernama
