KUCHING: Despite Datuk Lee Chong Wei’s defeat, all Malaysian are proud of his efforts and perseverance.

SUPP Youth chief Tan Kai, who said this, praises the Malaysian top shuttler for his untiring efforts and contributions all these years in bringing Malaysia’s name to the international sports arena.

“Even though he was defeated, all Malaysian should be proud of his achievements.

“We should appreciate what he has done for our nation over the past many years.

“Even though he did not get a gold medal, he will always remain a champion in our heart,” Tan Kai added.

Last Sunday, SUPP Central Youth Section extended a special invitation to local badminton fans to watch the live broadcast of Olympics Badminton Men’s Single final match between world’s No.1 shuttler Lin Dan and our national hero Datuk Lee Chong Wei at a local food court here.

The crowd was treated with three projector screens specially set up to watch the live broadcast, which attracted a huge crowd of all ages.
