BINTULU: A 40-year-old woman gave the public the shock of their lives when attempting to jump from electric cables between two shophouses in Taman Sri Dagang, Bintulu.

In the incident that happened on Monday evening, Fire and Rescue Services Department personnel managed to persuade her not take her own life and come down.

The woman, who was from a nearby village, later claimed that she did not know what had happened to her.

It remains a mystery how she could hang on to the cables without being electrocuted.
