KUCHING: Sarawakian consumers’ options for organic skin care products just increased as Alfacare’s range will be made available within the state for the first time with its launching this Saturday.

“Our products are 100 per cent organic and we have gotten endorsements from the Pharmaceutical Bureau as well as Halal certifications,” said Yamuna V Sithambalam, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the sole distributor in Sarawak, Chakkarah Services Sdn Bhd.

Yamuna explained that there were currently two products within the Alfacare range, a soap and the cream, making the usage simple.

The main ingredients for the soap include algae extract, deep moor clay and citrus extract while the newly launched cream is made from acai berry and anti oxidants.

According to the CEO, users had informed her that the effects could be observed within two weeks of usage.

“The product formulation is done in Europe, but this is a Malaysia brand. Our soap was launched two and a half years ago while the cream is the newest addition, launched approximately four months ago,” she said.

The target market for the products was noted to be men and women with skin issues who were seeking organic products without chemicals.

She added that the parent company had been very careful with its products, obtaining all necessary certifications before releasing them to the public.

The launching on Saturday will be held at the Grand Continental Hotel’s Rafflesia Ballroom from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. During the event, purchases will be given 10 per cent off the retail price.

“We will also be sharing with the public the application techniques of our products with a demonstration.”

Yamuna revealed that the brand was searching for interested dealers and distributors who would like to carry the brand across the state.
