Motorcyclist dies after hit by truck

SANDAKAN: A 19-year-old motorcyclist died on the spot after he was hit by a tanker truck at the Mile 8 traffic light junction here yesterday.
Ramzol Ramlan was heading to Mile 8 from Sandakan town when his motorcycle was rammed by the tanker truck about 2pm.
He died of serious head injuries and his body was taken to Duchess of Kent Hospital for a post-mortem.
Police chief ACP Rowell Marung confirmed the case and said it would be investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Meanwhile, the tanker truck driver is remanded by the police for further investigation.
