KENINGAU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) remains relevant to the Chinese community as proven by the increase in new membership received from them.

Bandar Keningau PBS branch chairman Johny Anthony Kadau said the increase in Chinese support for the party is mainly attributed to its multi-racialism concept, its genuiness and consistency in its causes.

“We view the entry of our Chinese counterparts into PBS as encouraging and it augurs well for the party,” he said.

He also called for a relentless effort to disseminate the party’s struggle to the people to encourage them to join in the cause.

Kadau was speaking during the branch annual general meeting held recently.

Meanwhile, Bingkor PBS divisional head Peter Jino Allion urged all members of the party to cooperate to assure that the party would remain a force to be reckoned with, especially in view of the imminent general elections.

Present were branch deputy chairman Yong Yun Min, youth head Abraham Nixon Lupang and other committee members.
