BN Sabah still strong — Melaka CM

LAHAD DATU: The Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) is still strong despite the recent exit of several leaders to the opposition, said Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Ali Rustam

“Sabah Umno under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman is among the strongest in Malaysia and I am confident that BN would be able to retain the state in the next election,” he said.

Speaking at the launching of Silam Umno division delegates meeting at Dewan Sri Perdana here yesterday, Ali Rustam, who the Umno Supreme Council member, is confident that Sabah will still be the fixed deposit of BN.

Ali Rustam praised Musa for ruling Sabah with distinction from all aspects without ignoring the welfare of the people.

He also saw that Silam Umno under the leadership of Datuk Datu Nasrun Datu Mansur is among the best Umno divisions in the state and at national level with the largest membership.

A total of 1, 388 delegates from Kunak, Tungku and Lahad Datu attended the meeting.
