Achieve your dreams through KYUEM

SUCCESSFUL: A group of KYUEM students who made it into Cambridge University.

KUCHING: If you are still deciding on where to go for your A Levels and how to enter the best universities in the United Kingdom, Australia or United States, Kolej Yayasan UEM (KYUEM) at Lembah Beringin, Tanjung Malim in Perak could be the place for you to realise your dreams.

KYUEM is now open to international students and welcomes applicants with excellent academic record and outstanding co-curricular background to apply for the January 2013 intake.

Since its establishment in 1998, the college has achieved over 80 per cent success rate in placing students in UK’s leading universities and Irish Universities Medical Consortium, each year.

Popular university choices amongst KYUEM students are Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, the London School of Economics, University College London, King’s College London, and Warwick, Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Southampton, Manchester, Sheffield, and Nottingham Universities.

To help its students gain entry, KYUEM concentrates on supporting them in their quest to gain the strongest possible results in their A level exams during their two years’ course. KYUEM’s July 2010 group of students has recorded the best A level results in the College’s history.

“At KYUEM, 95 per cent of its students would pursue their studies overseas upon completion of their A Level in June every year. We get them thinking about universities and courses at least a year in advance.

“While a majority of our students enrol to some of the most prestigious universities in the United Kingdom, we also have a small number flying to top-notch universities in the USA, Australia and Ireland,” it said in a statement.

KYUEM students are lucky enough to get first-hand information from senior academics and university admissions tutors from universities like Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, University College London and the London School of Economics and from renowned universities in Australia and New Zealand, who visit the college regularly.

Besides that, KYUEM alumni still studying in the UK and graduates gather annually for a weekend at the college, and share details of their study and living experience in their respective universities.

Networking with international officers and admissions tutors, visiting top universities in the UK and other countries, and entertaining a large number of university visitors to the college regularly are given great attention. As a result, a large proportion of KYUEM graduates move on to their university of first choice.

“This is well illustrated by the college’s successful Cambridge and Oxford entries. To date, we have already placed 70 students in these two universities,” it announced.

“This year, five students will be going to Cambridge University, to read Medicine at Queens’ College, Economics at Trinity Hall, Law at Selwyn College and at Newnham College, and Engineering at Churchill College,” it announced.
