PETALING JAYA: Three workers at a steel factory were ordered by the Sessions Court here yesterday to enter their defence on a charge of robbing the factory of steel coils, worth RM100,000, two years ago.

Judge Balqis Aini Mohd Ali made the decision after finding the prosecution had succeeded in establishing a prima facie case against G Senganie, A Thurairaj and Erwan Monong.

She set three days, from Oct 1, for the three men to enter their defence.

Senganie, 30, Thurairaj, 23, and Erwan, 36, are jointly charged with robbing 50 tonnes of steel coils from a factory, Rondo Metal Products Sdn Bhd, at SS 13/1K, Subang Jaya, between 8pm and 10pm on may 29, 2010.

However, their colleague, G Kalithasan, who was jointly charged with them, was acquitted and discharged without being called to enter his defence. — Bernama
