MIRI: Cahaya Educational and Training Academy (Ceta) welcomes qualified SPM school leavers to register for its first intake of drafting courses for the oil and gas (O&G) industry which will start next Monday (Sept 10).

Open interviews will be held at Miri Resident Office today from 2pm to 4pm and at Ceta office today and tomorrow.
The drafting courses will provide students with the qualification to enable them to work in this global industry, said Ceta’s executive chairman Sazali Abdul Rahman.
CETA’s chief operating officer cum principal Abang Shaharudin Abang Mansor elaborated that the modules in the courses will be enhanced continuously, in line with Ceta’s goal to ensure that skills training programmes conducted in the institution are benchmarked against the actual workplace requirements.
“It is our objective to make Ceta a professional resource centre covering all aspects
of the O&G industry in fulfilling the needs of the industry globally,” said Abang Shaharudin.
The institution stressed on the importance of exposing students to the practical aspects of the O&G industry and helping students to secure a job immediately upon graduation.
Programmes offered by Ceta are recognised and endorsed by the Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council, which is the appointed ‘industry lead body’ by the Malaysian Human Resource Ministry for the oil and gas industry.
Courses offered at the institute include: Mechanical/Piping Drafting for Oil & Gas, Civil/Structural Drafting for Oil & Gas, Electrical Drafting for Oil & Gas, Control and Automation Drafting for Oil& Gas and Process Drafting for Oil & Gas.
Ceta office at Lot 2198, first floor, Saberkas Commercial Centre opens Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 5pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 12.30pm.
