KOTA KINABALU: The magistrate’s court yesterday convicted a local man and placed him behind bars for four months for keeping stolen items.
Mohd Rizam Rubin, 28, admitted to having the stolen items namely, a smartphone and a wallet belonging to a 32-year-old local man, at a house in Taman Jaya Diri off Jalan Sepanggar, Menggatal on Aug 21.
He was charged under Section 411 of the Penal Code which provides for a jail term of up to five years or with a fine, upon conviction.
Prosecuting officer Inspector Zahiri Saad appeared for the prosecution.
