PETALING JAYA: A part-time make-up artist pleaded not guilty in the magistrate’s court here yesterday to a charge of voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon on another make-up artist five days ago.
Mohd Fadzil Aripin, 28, is charged with causing hurt with a knife on Jalani Mat, 40, who was injured on the thigh and palm, in front of a McDonald outlet at Jalan PJS 8/4 Sunway Mentari here at 4.45am last Aug 30.
Magistrate Ahmad Solihin Abd Wahid allowed Mohd Fadzil bail of RM2,000 with one surety and set Oct 11 for mention.
Earlier, deputy public prosecutor Siti Ruvinna Mohd Rawi, who prosecuted, requested bail at RM6,000.
However, lawyer Datuk Suraj Singh, representing Mohd Fadzil, said his client’s sister could only afford to pay RM1,000 yesterday. — Bernama
