KUANTAN: A trader was fined RM1,000 in default of a month’s jail by the magistrate court here yesterday for causing injury to his wife six months ago.
Iskandar Lailomee, 25, from Peramu near here, pleaded guilty to causing injury to his wife, Nelli Handanyani
Zulkifli, 25, by slapping her across the face and kicking her in the back, when the charge was read to him before Magistrate Rini Traianny Muhammad Ali.
He also admitted committing the offence at a house No 11, Lorong Peramu Maju Baru 2, Peramu at about 10am on March 24. Deputy public prosecutor Farahah Mohd Nazari prosecuted, while Iskandar was not represented. — Bernama
