Student killed in Russia buried *latest!

DUNGUN: One of two Malaysian medical students who died in a road accident in Russia last Sunday was buried in Kampung Molek here early Saturday.

The remains of Hanisah Muhd Shah, 22, a Mara-sponsored student, were laid to rest at the Syed Yahya Muslim Cemetery in the village at about 8 am.

The body was brought here at about 7 am and taken to the Tengku Ampuan Intan Zaharah Mosque in the village for prayers and then to the cemetery, with about 100 relatives and friends in attendance.

Hanisah’s remains and those of the other student, Adzreen Dimyati, also 22, were flown in to the KL International Airport at about 10 pm Friday.

Adzreen, a Public Service Department (PSD) scholar, was buried at 12.40 am Saturday at the Precinct 20 Muslim Cemetery in Putrajaya.

Hanisah and Adzreen were killed when the van they were travelling in with five other students collided with another van in Vladimirskaya on the road from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod on their way to their university. –Bernama
