GEORGE TOWN: The Penang chapter of the Malaysian Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMMPP) hopes the existing ties with China Foreign Trade Guangzhau Exhibition General Corp (CFTE) would open up more business opportunities in China for local entrepreneurs.

DPMMPP vice president Rizal Faris Mohideen Abdul Kader told reporters at a media conference in conjunction with the visit by the Malaysia China International Trade Link Association (MACITA) here yesterday that continued  collaboration would also enable both countries’ entrepreneurs to expand their respective businesses.

The visit was also in conjunction with the 9th China Import & Export  Commodities Exhibition (Malaysia) and the 9th Malaysia International Branding Showcase to be held on Nov 28 to Dec 1 at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

Rizal Faris said the exhibition, organised by the China Foreign Trade Centre, will see some 450 participants from Asean.

Earlier, he signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on behalf of DPMMPP with CFTE, represented by  Miscellaneous Exhibition Department Manager Saskia Zeng, to facilitate the exchange of business information between the two countries. — Bernama
