KUCHING: Business students from INTI College Sarawak had an informative visit to Borneo Springs’ mineral water plant in Matang recently.

It was good learning opportunity and exposure for the 24 students, who were able to observe first-hand the broad spectrum of best managerial practices by a regional leader in the water bottling industry. They were accompanied by two lecturers.

The students were taken on a guided tour of the plant which carries out functions such as water sourcing and extraction; bottle making and cleaning; bottling, labeling and packing; and quality control.

A subsidiary of F&NCC Beverages Sdn Bhd, Borneo Springs produces and markets its own range of bottled water, including mineral water, drinking water and distilled water, in Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and Singapore.

“Our visit enabled us to gain an appreciation of the diverse roles of managers and their teams, working as one to facilitate the smooth running of operations.
