New ASNB Kuching office celebrates ‘Syawal’ day

KUCHING: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), held ‘Hari Ramah Mesra’ at its new office at Jalan Kulas here yesterday.
The celebration was organised in line with ‘Syawal’ day to promote the new office which was launched two months ago at Al-Idrus Commercial Centre.
ASNB was established on May 22, 1979 to manage the unit trust funds launched by PNB. It has 26 offices throughout the country with five in Sarawak located in Kuching, Sri Aman, Miri, Sibu and Bintulu.
The fund management company had 148.9 billion units in circulation as at August this year, that was generated through 11.08 million account holders. Out of that, 14.9 billion units were owned by 1.07 million account holders in Sarawak.
It recently announced an income distribution of 6.6 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2012. The total distribution amounted to RM981.39 million, an increase of nine per cent from last year.
As of August, it also had declared better income distributions for five other funds namely Amanah Saham Malaysia, Amanah Saham Gemilang, Amanah Saham Didik and Amanah Saham Nasional 2.
