KDCA representative may have evidence – PKR

PENAMPANG: Parti KeADILan Rakyat (PKR) wants those who have information on Pakatan Rakyat’s connection to the blog, Suara Pakatan Rakyat, to come forward and facilitate investigations into the article it published about the ‘Sumazau’ dance.
Its Penampang information chief, Honorsius Datuk Alfred Bosuin, said they through its divisional chairman, had also reported the offending article and website along with the blogger ‘Suara Rakyat’ to the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission pursuant to the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998 on September 12 and hoped that their investigation and action would commence soon.
“Meanwhile, it is imperative that in order to add more to our supporting evidence and documents, we seem to infer that Jeoffrey Ekol is aware or has direct evidence to show that Pakatan Rakyat is in fact linked to the article and website despite all the evidence that we have to contrary.
“In these times where we are compiling evidence to assist the pending investigation, Jeoffrey Ekol, whom we assume is representing the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association (KDCA), a non-political party, may and would, from our reading of his statement in a local daily today, indeed have a compelling and direct evidence that the site ‘suarapakatanrakyat.com’ is linked to Pakatan Rakyat,” he said.
Honorsius was responding Jeoffrey who in his statement said, “I dare all KDM with Pakatan Rakyat (PR) to condemn this badly intended statement towards our people and don’t try to justify their bad action to belittle our beautiful Sumazau dance,” he said.
Jeoffrey also was of the opinion that the blogger’s action means that they view and see all KDM with PR as having low morals.
“That is the biggest insult to the KDM community and they should re-look into their support for PR to avoid more hurting remarks in future,” Jeoffrey said.
According to Honorsius, PRK Penampang based this assumption that Jeoffrey has that evidence which may help the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission in its pending investigation based on his statement where he had challenged all Kadazan, Dusun and Murut (KDM)members of Pakatan Rakyat to condemn the article and to relook into their support of Pakatan Rakyat.
Asking the Pakatan Rakyat members to relook into their support of Pakatan Rakyat and coming from a non-political organization like the KDCA would indeed be one that has no political tone at all and we are nearly convinced that it would only come from those who have real and compelling evidence of the Pakatan Rakyat’s link to the website, Honorsius claimed.
“Therefore, we urge and welcome Jeofrey to lead the Kadazans, Dusuns and Muruts and all like us who are equally insulted by the article to show and produce proof that link between Pakatan Rakyat and the irresponsible website ‘suarapakatanrakyat.com’ and forward the same to the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission.
“We are certain like other political parties who have made their reports based on the article alone, that the evidence which Jeoffrey may have will indeed help the police to expedite and forward the police reports made by them to the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission. It could well be the nail to the coffin which has eluded everyone! So please Jeoffrey, do your part for all the Kadazans, Dusuns and Muruts and all Sabahans.
“Meantime, we at Pakatan Rakyat also request for a copy of the evidence which Jeofrey have with him so we too can do the appropriate action too and expose the real truth which we know assume is known by Jeoffrey,” he said.
Honorsius pointed out that PKR president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and deputy secretary general cum Parti KeADILan Rakyat Penampang chairman Darell Leiking had in no uncertain terms refuted and condemned the demeaning and ill-intended article written by the blogger ‘Suara Rakyat’ and ‘suarapkatanrakyat.com’ and have also refuted any links to suspicious and malicious website ‘suarapakatanrakyat.com’.
As mentioned in the joint press release with an Azizah Wan Ismail and Darell, the site tries hard to appear as a Pakatan Rakyat mouthpiece, but it is not, he pointed out.
They had also repeated that the website has nothing to do with Pakatan Rakyat, a coalition of PKR, DAP and PAS.
