MIRI: Sime Darby Auto Connexion Sdn Bhd, the authorised dealer of Ford range of vehicles yesterday launched the all-new 2012 Ford Focus.
This all-new addition from Ford packs a host of smart technologies, sporty design, and outstanding power for its class and fuel economy.
It also comes in two variants, Sport and Titanium, both with latest state-of-the-art feature like all new ‘Sync’, a new hands free voice activated communication system which integrates mobile phones and media player system, where making and receiving calls is a breeze by just talking to the car.
The system can also be used to read text messages and play songs from your phones – all via Bluetooth.
Another new innovative system is the Active Park Assist, where the car can literally park itself without the driver holding the steering wheel.
In terms of safety Ford Focus’ Active City Stop collision-mitigation system automatically stops the car by activating its brakes when it detects a car in front has stopped unexpectedly, thus provides drivers additional and enhanced safety by monitoring the road ahead.
Furthermore, Ford’s Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) improves driver awareness by alerting them to situations when a passing vehicle is hidden in their blind spot zone on both left and right sides of the vehicle.
In terms of performance, its 2.0-litre engine can generate an impressive 170 PS of power with top speed of 207 km/h.
However, fuel consumption is just 6.7 litre for every 100km.
On the road prices are RM119,888 for Titanium and Sport, and RM132,888 for Titanium Plus and Sport Plus variants
