KUALA LUMPUR: A private college student claimed trial in the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday to molesting a 23-year-old girl in a car last May.
Ahmad Farid Abdul Jalil, 19, allegedly committed the offence at the roadside along Hulu Langat highway, Ampang at 8.22pm on May 13.
Magistrate Ayuni Izzaty Sulaiman allowed him bail of RM6,000 in one surety and fixed Nov 6 for mention.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Goh Ai Rene appeared for the prosecution while the accused was not represented.
Ahmad Farid also claimed trial at the Sessions Court to raping a 22-year-old draughtsman at a clearing at Menara Tinjau, Jalan Ampang, Selangor, at 12.30am on Sept 11.
Judge Roszianayati Ahmad released him on a bail of RM10,000 with one surety and fixed Oct 19 for mention.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Noor Fadzlin Abd Zawawi appeared for the prosecution. — Bernama
