Second wushu exposure camp attracts 34 exponents

SIBU: Thirty four local wushu exponents took part in the three-day 2nd wushu exposure camp held at Yu Lung San Tien En Shi Temple at Mile 24 Sibu-Bintulu Road recently.

Organised by Sibu Martial Arts (Quan Shu) Association (SMAA), it is supported by Sibu Youth & Sports Centre and was aimed at cultivating moral characters and instilling positive values among the participants. “Besides, it was aimed at creating an understanding among the participants on the importance of teamwork,” SMAA chief coach Gilbert Wong said.

Wong said the course, themed `Wushu & I’ would eventually help to shape the mentality and strength of the participants in turning them into a better person.

“It was a meaningful course which will bring about lots of positive thinking, changes and idea to the participants.”

Wong said the participants were taught on the basic wushu training skills and theory.

Other items in the programme included a treasure hunting, games and film sharing.
