KUCHING: A suspect in the murder of a lorry driver from Kampung Segedup last week was further remanded for seven days until next Tuesday (Oct 2).
A court registar here yesterday granted the application made by the police investigation officers to complete their investigation.
The 41-year-old suspect who is a married man from Kota Samarahan allegedly shot the lorry driver, in his 30s, with a shotgun on Sept 17.
He was arrested at his house the next day.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code which provides for a mandatory death penalty upon conviction.
