KUALA LUMPUR: Lenovo, the world’s second largest personal computer (PC) vendor, has expanded its IdeaPad product line with the launch of IdeaPad S300 and S400 laptops.

Its country general manager, Khoo Hung Chuan, said the company’s success hinged on its ability to deliver compelling consumer-centric innovations in products that delivered a blend of mobility, performance and price.

“For IdeaPad S300 and S400 laptops we are targeting first-time buyers and those with a smaller budget,” he said at the launch of the laptops here today.

Khoo said the S-series laptops combined comfort, simplicity and responsiveness to give consumers an inexpensive PC with quality construction and solid performance.

“The laptops strike a balance between portability and performance for consumers who want computing power than a netbook and longer battery life than a traditional laptop, without the premium price of an Ultrabook,” he said.

He said the laptops gave everyday consumers exactly what they needed by matching small size and light weight with the power needed for everything from Web browsing to productivity tasks, all in an affordable package.

The Lenovo Ideapad S300 is priced at RM1,199 while the Ideapad S400 is priced at RM1,699. — Bernama
