KAPIT: Team Bahagia emerged champion of the 2012 1Malaysia Inter-Team Badminton competition after a tough encounter with CSL Iron and Steel Works in the final. The teams of Tepedo and Zhang Kwang Electrical Works won the third and fourth places respectively.
A total of eight teams took part in the competition held at Bletih Stadium here from Sept 27 to Oct 2.
The competition was organised by the Youth and Women wings of the Kapit Foochow Association and sponsored by Kapit MP Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi who chipped in RM10,000.
The chairman of Kapit Foochow Association, Liew Song Swee officiated at the closing cum prizes presentation ceremony.
Also present were chairman of United Chinese Association Ma Tian Ho, chairman of Chinese Chamber of Commerce Yong Hua Sying, organising chairperson Stanley Ling Bee Chong, Youth and Women chiefs of Foochow Association Ling Hung Ping and Wong Kie.
