KUCHING: Kuching Division Journalists’ Association (KDJA) will be organising its annual 3 On 3 Basketball Competition at MBKS Indoor Stadium on Oct 14 instead of this weekend.
According to the organising chairman, Teo Chi Wei the event was postponed to next Sunday due to some unforeseen circumstances.
“This is one of the activities in the KDJA calendar which is organised to enhance ties among the participants from various media organisations in Kuching as well as promote basketball,” he said.
Teo said the competition was also aimed at encouraging media members to get actively involved in sports activities. The event is divided into two categories, namely men and mixed.
“The champion will get RM200 plus trophies, runners-up RM160 and medals, third to get RM120 and medals while fourth place will receive RM80,” said Teo.
To add more fun to the competition, there will also be a shooting contest for men and women categories where the winners will get RM30.
