MIRI: Team Lucky Strike emerged champion in the recent Miri 1Youth, 1Malaysia futsal tournament after beating Twister United in the final.

With the win, the team will represent Miri in the national championship to be held in Putrajaya later this year.

The champion team bagged home RM 800, a trophy and medals while Twister United bagged RM 500.

The event was participated by 64 teams including seven for the women category which was won by FBSB after beating Highlanders in the final.

FBSB players walked home RM500 richer while Highlanders took RM 300 a trophy and medals.

The tournament was jointly organised by Miri’s Youth and Sports Department and Parliamentary Office.

The prize-giving ceremony was graced by Miri’s Youth and Sports Department officer, Mohammad Shukeri Drahman who was accompanied by his counterpart from Putrajaya, Naquiddin Mat Esa.
