BANJARMASIN, S Kalimantan: Six flights from the South Kalimantan provincial capital of Banjarmasin to other Indonesian cities were delayed on Thursday morning as a blanket of thick smoke shrouded the city’s Syamsudin Noor Airport.
According to Indonesia’s Antara news agency visibility was 50 metres at 05.30 a.m. and 250 metres at 07.45 a.m. local time, or below the threshold of 500 metres for safe flight, a source said.– BERNAMA
