According to Green Hornets manager and school teacher in-charge Juraimie Junaidi, the clinic is aimed to help other schools who are interested in forming a softball team. SMK Green Road will do all they can during the clinic to assist those who are interested in the sport, especially in the Kuching division.

“This clinic is also organised to support the Malaysia the Education Ministry’s policy of one student, one sport (1Murid 1Sukan). For us, softball is a beautiful sport and it would be nice if it is a popular sport among students here and throughout the state,” he said.

Juraimie continued that he also wants the school softball competitions here in Kuching to be more competitive.

He welcomes all school and various institutions to form more softball teams, especially in Kuching.

With the next MSSN Softball approaching fast next year, Juraimie hopes that the competition will be more competitive than ever. He wants Kuching to continue its domination in MSSN softball for many more years to come.

“Our target group for this clinic are schools and institutions from around Kuching division. However if there are any schools and institution from outside Kuching who are interested in participating for this clinic, they are most welcome too,” he commented.

For those who attend this clinic, a panel of experienced and qualified tutors will facilitate the clinic. Those who will be involved include Nafri Razali (Co-curiculum advisor), Suhaili Bujang (Kuching division softball team manager), Juraimie himself (who is technical advisor for the Kuching division softball team), Muhd Sophian Mohd Ali (Kuching division softball team head coach) and many others.

“So far 14 schools have confirmed their participation. We also wish to invite more schools and institutions of higher learning to participate in the clinic. Registration dateline is this Thursday (Oct 18),” added Juraimie.
