SARIKEI: Entries are now open for the Sarikei Closed Inter-Team Badminton competition organised as one of the activities for P.206 Tanjung Manis 1Malaysia Youth Carnival to be held here this coming weekend.
The competition, a joint effort by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu N.35 Belawai Youth Section and Kampung Sarikei Sports and Recreation Club, is to be held at the community hall here from October 19-21.
“Teams are to compete in two open events and one veteran event.
“The age limit for veteran players are not less than 40-years-old while the combine age of each (veteran) pair must be not less that 85 years with each team allowed to register a total of eight players,” informed organising chairman Ahmat Adai.
Entry fee is RM100 per team which must be submitted together with the duly completed entry forms before 5 pm on Oct 19.
Apart from trophies, the champions will receive RM800 cash while the first runners-up will receive RM500 and second runners-up RM300.
