KUALA LUMPUR: Four Pakistani men were jointly charged in the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday with kidnapping their fellow countryman for a RM470,000 ransom last August.
Construction workers Abdul Qayyum Mohamood Tariq, Shauket Ali Muhammad Yar, Muhammad Yar Ghulam Habib and Muhammad Irfan Muhammad Rais, nodded that they understood when the charge was read to them in Urdu by an interpreter before Magistrate Nor Azura Murah.
However, no plea was taken from the accused, aged between 20 and 30, who allegedly abducted Muhammad Qadeer Muneer, 31, at a terraced house in Jalan Tempines Bangsar here at 9.45am on Aug 29. — Bernama
