Google unveils flagship LG Nexus 4 smartphone on Android 4.2 Jellybean operating system

Hurricane Sandy may have prompted Google to cancel its launch event in New York today, but that hasn’t stopped the unveiling of Google’s new flagship smartphone, the LG Nexus 4.

The Nexus 4 boasts a 4.7 inch touchscreen offering 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM.  The Nexus 4 is also the first smartphone to run on Google’s brand new Android 4.2 Jellybean OS.

The Nexus 4 also contains an 8 mega-pixel camera on the back, with a 1.3 mega-pixel option on the front of the device. The phone also contains a 2,100mAh battery, supports wireless charging, and comes with Bluetooth and Wi Fi connectivity embedded as standard.

The device is set to go on sale in the UK from November 13th, coming in at the comparitively low price of £239 for 8BG of onboard storage and £279 for 16GB of onboard storage.
